WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR

During the later stages of pregnancy, your antenatal appointments become more frequent. This is because your midwife needs to check that your body is coping well with the increased demand that the growing baby is making.

Your blood pressure will continue to be measured and your urine tested for a variety of markers. In this way, you will be monitored for certain complications of pregnancy, such as gestational diabetes or pre-eclampsia, both of which are comparatively uncommon.
